VUU Green Sanctuary Audit

Introduction

An audit on the current environmental state of Valley UU church is being conducted as part of the Green Sanctuary Program. The nine audit questions are taken from the Green Sanctuary manual, 3rd edition, pg. 11, and cover energy use, recycling, education and worship, as well as other topics. The audit serves as a snapshot of our community’s environmental behavior.

The committee worked through the month of June to gather information from our minister, staff, heads of committees and the Green Sanctuary group. It is our hope that this information will be the basis of an action plan to help us be eligible for Green Sanctuary certification.

We would like to thank Rev. Lone Jensen, Celeste Plumlee, and all of the staff and church members who helped us.
